This really depends on your individual requirements, but we do have a few suggestions:
Self hosted vs Platform hosted
Is the platform hosted or self-hosted? This means do you host your pages/content yourself, or is it hosted on the services' own servers. Some people may prefer to let the service host their websites or pages - but we have one big warning with this:
Remember: If you let a third-party company host your data - they control your data and can turn off your service and sites at any point. You often need to check their terms and conditions too in terms of who owns the data that is added to their sites.
With OptimizePress, you run our software on your websites. Even if you cancel your subscription, your content remains (yes - you will lose some functionality from your sites and from our software - but your contain still is not lost and is still 100% owned and controlled by you).
Monthly vs Yearly Cost
You may see many platforms quoting monthly pricing. Remember that we charge ONE annual fee for OptimizePress - so be sure to calculate the annual/yearly total for monthly billing - it may be more than you expect. For example a service that charges just $29/month equals $348/year - nearly $150 more than our most expensive plan.
Just ensure when looking at OptimizePress alternatives that you think about the overall yearly cost to your business, as this is an important factor in the long-term consideration of choosing the right platform.
Speed of innovation
When comparing other OptimizePress Alternatives, you should consider looking at their recent feature releases, and how quickly they are innovating on their platform. Perhaps their platform looks solid, but it might be using outdated code and outdated web design practices.
You need to use a platform that is regularly updated, uses the latest in web standards, and regularly innovates on new features that push your marketing business forward. With OptimizePress, we aim to release at least one new feature every week of the year. In 2020 we released over 52 new features throughout the year - and many of these were WordPress or industry firsts that helped our customers take their businesses to increased revenues.
