Zoom Integration, E-goi Integration, Facebook Add-ons & Animations

So it's the start of a new year and it's time to roll out the first updates for 2020.

It's going to be an exciting first half of the year at OptimizePress.

This month we have a wide range of features from email marketing integrations, delayed animations, icons for showing authority and much more...

You may have seen these updates already in the system and have been using them since they released. At the time of writing this, we have just been approved by Zoom webinar software so you can now easily integrate with your landing pages and collect leads for your next webinar.

One of my personal favourite features in this update is the ability to hide or delay an element after a period of time on the page. The element could hold text images forms opt-in forms call-to-action buttons, whatever you like.

Seriously, it's time to party!!

Snoops feeling it - Delay your order buttons until you give your sales pitch!

Remember you can get a full update and changelog inside the members hub and we are continually fixing small bugs that you report and making minor tweaks to keep the lightning page builder running at speed.

A big thanks to those of you who publicly share your appreciation. It makes the entire team feel valued!

What's New In OptimizePress 🎉

E-goi Email Marketing

The all-new integration with E-goi platform will be a delight for its users. If you’re not familiar with E-goi it has some nice features in the email platform like geolocation broadcasting, push notifications, SMS and even voice broadcasting.

There’s a whole bunch of features in E-goi that I’ve not seen in other platforms and now you can connect this service to your landing pages simply by integrating inside the dashboard of your site.

The integration uses a single API key you get from inside E-goi.

You will find the new integration inside the dashboard. Go to integrations and search for E-goi.

Zoom Integration

This is a great addition to our integration list and we are the first WordPress plugin to be listed in the Zoom marketplace.

If you haven’t yet used Zoom it has opened up the space for video conferencing with their competitive pricing and feature set many businesses have been switching to Zoom.

The webinar software is a pretty solid platform when it comes to running live meetings with multiple people. I’ve personally attended video meetings with about 14 people and zoom has no trouble making it easy to communicate with everyone during long video calls.

If you ever need to have a meeting while on the move, Zoom’s mobile app gives you just the same experience as being in an office on the same call.

Zoom has made online meetings easy whether you are connecting via a computer or need to call one of the toll-free numbers.

You can attend the same meeting multiple ways or host your own webinar-style meeting on their free plan.

To get started go to the integrations page and search for Zoom.

In another browser tab, go to Zoom.us and log in (this saves a step later).

Next go back to the tab with OptimizePress, go to the integration page and click on Zoom and connect.

You’ll be taken to an authorisation page where you click "authorize" to make the connection and you will be redirected back to your site.

That's it done!

Once you connect a form to Zoom you can pull through a list of webinars you have scheduled.

You can see a full video tutorial video on Zooms site here.

Credit Card Icons

Now it’s time to add some conversion elements to your sales pages. These simple little graphics can triple your conversion rate. Crazy as it sounds but by showing what credit cards your business accepts will simplify the buying decision for the customer.

If you do the thinking for your customers, by answering questions they might ask, you are building trust and reducing the number of people who will leave your site.

Top e-commerce sites around the web user credit card icons as a trust signal. People see the credit card icons and feel warm and fuzzy inside knowing that their payment will be handled securely.

By indicating which card types you accept can speed up that buying decision in the customer's mind.

Our new element allows you to pick a wide range of payment processors with their default colours or you style the card icon to match colours on your site.

Our new element allows you to pick a wide range or payment processors with their default colours or you style the card icon to match your site.

Most shopping carts and products sales pages show credit card icons. This example is in a cart page. See them positioned left of the button.

Here's another example from a Mindvalley sales page - showing a pricing table at the end of the sales page with these credit card icons clearly visible:

Feature Tip

Test positioning your credit card logos at different places around your CTA button. Some sites might want to include them as a permanent link in their footer.

Facebook Comments

Have you ever followed a product launch and seen all those pages with Facebook comments at the bottom of every page?

Those comment boxes can drive a huge amount of traffic when the discussions gain traction. Each time someone comments, depending on their settings, it can show on the user's own Facebook feed for all their friends, family and followers see.

As more people comment, more people click through to the page and either see the video or opt-in to see what all the chat is about.

These comment boxes can also show how the most recent comments on the page so keep in mind they can look dated if someone hasn’t commented in weeks, months or years.

A nice feature built into our element is the option to configure the comments by reversing time (newest post) and also share a custom URL.

Here's a live example from WarriorJV using Facebook comments to build engagement, get traffic and push people into their Facebook Group.

Feature Tip

Sort the comments by newest so your page doesn't look out of date. Answer comments with questions to keep the chat going. The more active your chat is, the more Facebook will show the chat in other people's feed.

Facebook Sharing

We could never have Facebook comments without having the good old Facebook share buttons. A legacy feature in OP2 that is widely used by our customers and now it’s here for our latest version of OptimizePress.

The share buttons are great for social proof or getting people to follow you on Facebook.

This example is from the popular SEO software SEMrush where they use share buttons on blog posts and landing pages.

We added the latest options to the element where you can show a “share” or “recommendation” button.

You can turn off button, show user counts, users faces and again add custom URL’s for sharing.

Feature Tip

Change the custom URL to be that of your primary landing page or funnel entry point. Each time someone shares your page the custom URL is shared in their Facebook feed. This drives traffic back to your opt-in page.

Element Animations

Now we are in full swing with these updates. The next element update was the additional animations you can add to your element.

Want a headline that fades in or swings down from the top? You can do that now.

The new animation can really draw attention to particular areas.

You have multiple triggers to use:

On Page Load - When the page is fully loaded the animation begins.
On Scroll To - When the user reaches that point of the page by scrolling the animation begins.
Delay After Page Load - Delay the time by minutes and seconds after the page has fully loaded.
Delay After Scroll To - Delay the time by minutes and seconds after the user reached that element by scrolling the page.

You can then apply different animated effects on your elements like various fades, scales, slides and more.

How could you use this?

You know when you see a webinar reply and there’s an order button that appears just at the same second the sales pitch starts? That is not a coincidence, it’s been set to appear at that exact second.

You can now do exactly this on your own sales videos or any other time you want to delay something from appearing so the visitors consume all the current content first.

Here's a live example from Brian Moran. He uses a single video to sell his products. The video catches the attention, hits a pain point to bring the user in.

What happens next is exactly what you can do with the delayed fade in.

During the point when the tells you about the solution to your problem, he loads the full-text version (image in this example) of the sales copy below the video and you can buy the product.

See how the page looks below.

Another example could be offering a free download to people who watch a video all the way through.

You could set the free download button to appear 5 minutes before the video ends with the delay timer and only those who stayed on to watch all the video get the download.

Feature Tip

Check your web analytics bounce rate of your five top pages. Try adding some animated headline to CTA areas before the average bounce rate time triggers. By adding a flash effect to the headline you are changing the user's focal point and it may increase your opt-ins. Be warned, don’t overuse these animations.

Interval Timers

Now you might be wondering what interval timers are. You've probably seen countdown timers for webinars where they happen to be starting just as you arrive on the landing page. Well, an interval timer is like that.

It is not an evergreen timer where it starts the countdown when someone visits the page.

Let's say you have an automated webinar that runs every 5 minutes. Then you would select the 5 minute interval.

The timer would count down like this:

5 mins:  1pm, 1:05pm, 1:10pm, 1:15pm, 1:20pm, 1:25pm, 1:30pm etc
10 mins: 1pm, 1:10pm, 1:20pm, 1:30pm, 1:40pm, 1:50pm. 2pm
15 mins: 1pm, 1:15pm, 1;30pm, 1:45pm, 2pm etc

For 30 minute interval:
30 mins: 1pm, 1:30pm, 2pm, 2:30pm

For hour interval:
1 hour: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm etc

You could use our Evergreen Countdown Timer for this process as well but the interval timers create the exact time based off the value you set and you don't have to rely on cookies and users visiting the page and the times getting mixed up.

This timer will work perfectly on pages where you're registering visitors for a webinar using integrations like our upcoming Everwebinar integration.

OptimizeCheckouts Update  🎉

We know many of you are excited for the upcoming launch of our OptimizeCheckouts plugin - which will be available exclusively as part of our Suite plan (if you're an OptimizePress customer - see your account upgrade options here).

We wanted to give you an exclusive update and insight into our progress with this new platform here...

Firstly, for those of you that have not been following so closely, OptimizeCheckouts is a WordPress plugin that will enable you to easily create simple, conversion optimized checkout flows on your own website.

This represents the natural next step in development of our funnels functionality - with the addition of OptimizeCheckouts you'll be able to build complete sales funnels without additional software.

We've taken time to carefully evaluate every feature we add to this platform to ensure it maintains ease of use and doesn't become overly complex or confusing.  If you're looking for a checkout or cart solution with every bell or whistle (often things you'll never use anyway) then OptimizeCheckouts might not be for you - but we know it WILL fit with the requirements of many of our users perfectly.

Here's a few of the upcoming features in Checkouts:

Simple customizable checkout forms for any OptimizePress page
Complete integration with the OptimizePress product suite
Easily styled to fit with your branding and added to your checkout pages or even sales page if you use a one-page sales funnel model
Order bumps
Up-sells
Down-sells
Subscriptions

We know these additional features are popular and powerful when marketing your products and services.

The good news is that they are currently in development but we are staggering the release to ensure that everything works as simply as possible to avoid complex settings. This also allows us to ensure all aspects have been through rigorous scenario testing.
