OptimizePress 1.4 Released! What’s New In Version 1.4…

We have just released version 1.4 of OptimizePress. This is the most significant update to the system in a few months, and you’ll notice a few new features and a few changes when you install the new version.

Firstly, before I get into what’s new, you can download the latest version from the members area http://www.optimizepress.com/members (you will need your logins you were sent when you purchased).

New Features in 1.4

• Exit Optin Popup – This new feature allows you to activate an exit popup box on any of your pages which will show an optin form.  This form uses the same integration for your autoresponder as our squeeze pages, so you can easily add your autoresponder code, as well as a headline and other call to action text in the popup box.  This popup is also jquery powered, which means it won’t be blocked by pretty much any of the popup blockers on the market!

  The Exit Optin Popup is a great way to grab the names and emails of anyone leaving your page so you have another list building tool in your arsenal!

• Exit Redirect – Another new exit feature, this one will allow you to redirect your visitor to any other webpage when they try to leave your page.  As soon as your visitor clicks the X or tries to navigate to another web page, they will be prompted with a message about whether they want to stay on the page, and in the background the redirect page will load.

  You can use the exit redirect to direct your visitors to a squeeze page with a special offer, or send them to a downsell if you’re using it on a sales page so you can try and tempt your visitors with a different offer or a cut price offer – this is great for conversions!

• New Interface for On-Page Options – We have given the on-page options an overhaul so that they are easier to navigate through. You can now find the on-page options organised into drop down tabs so you can easily scroll through to find the options you want to modify without having to scroll too far. This should make editing your pages and custom fields much faster

• Navigation Bar Placement Options for Sales & Squeeze Pages – After we added the navigation bar options for the sales and squeeze pages we had many requests to allow the placement of the navbar below the header on pages. We have now added this option and it is available for most of the templates where the design works with the navbar below the header (you can select above or below the header so you have the choice!)
• Integrated Update System - This is a biggie! We have now added an integrated update system so on hosts that support it, you will be able to do a quick upgrade of your OptimizePress version when we release a new version. You will be able to check at any time in the “Appearance > Themes” section to see if we have a new update available, and on most hosts you can click to instantly upgrade your site from right within WordPress!
• A Few New Button Text Choices – We added a few more button text choices for the optin buttons at the request of some of our members. Please note at the moment these new button texts are not available for translated buttons. We will be adding some new buttons designs in another update soon.
• Hyperlink Your Headers – You can now hyperlink your headers on your sales pages, squeeze pages and blog sites. This was another much requested feature we have integrated into OptimizePress

You’ll also notice a completely new members front end/dashboard page with easy access to the most useful of our tutorials. This should make it much easier to find the training you need for OptimizePress, as well as check out many of our new tutorials.

We’ve also added many more little fixes and tweaks to improve the system for everyone. We will be releasing the full changelog for the system over the weekend, but we are advising that everyone update. Note: If you are in the middle of a launch we always advise waiting until your launch has finished in case of any issues
